After our successful first general meeting, AMSA members and board members gathered for a relaxing social at a nearby Boba Tea House. The walk over together was a great way to unwind, and once we arrived, the atmosphere was filled with excitement as everyone grabbed their favorite drinks and settled in for some fun conversations.
This boba social was more than just a casual hangout—it provided a unique opportunity for general members to connect with board members, committee co-chairs, and each other in an informal setting. Many potential committee members were able to chat directly with co-chairs, gaining valuable insights into what each committee entails and learning more about the requirements, responsibilities, and upcoming projects they could be part of this year.
We love seeing our members connect and share their enthusiasm for AMSA, and the boba tea house provided the perfect environment to start building these relationships. This event set a positive tone for the rest of the year, and we’re looking forward to many more chances for members to come together, collaborate, and enjoy the community AMSA has to offer.
