On October 30th, AMSA members traded in textbooks and lab notes for something a bit more thrilling—our very own Halloween Escape Room! Organized by our amazing social chairs, this event gave us all a much-needed study break and a chance to get into the Halloween spirit with friends.
The setup was perfect. Our social chairs put together a series of fun (and challenging!) puzzles and activities that had us solving clues, decoding spooky messages, and working together to “escape” before time ran out. From creepy props to dim lighting, every detail made it feel like we had stepped into a real-life haunted mystery. It was a blast watching everyone get into the Halloween vibe and helping each other out when a puzzle had us stumped.
No Halloween event would be complete without treats, of course. Alongside the brain-teasing challenges, there was a table filled with donuts, candy, and other Halloween-themed snacks. From classic chocolate bars to pumpkin-flavored everything, the snacks were a hit and kept us fueled for the escape room. Plus, it wouldn’t be Halloween without a little sugar rush!
Events like this are exactly what makes AMSA feel like a family. Between the laughs, the teamwork, and the excitement of solving each puzzle, it was a reminder that there’s more to college than just classes and studying. A huge thank you to our social chairs for putting together such an unforgettable evening! We can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
