In our last general meeting of Winter 2023, AMSA hosted an Interview Workshop for our paid AMSA members, providing them with a supportive environment to practice common interview questions.
The event began with an icebreaker social, where members were able to mingle and enjoy the refreshments provided. This helped to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for the workshop, which followed shortly after.
Members were broken up into four groups, each led by facilitator who guided them through a series of common interview questions. Members were given the opportunity to practice answering the questions and receive feedback from their peers, as well as the facilitators. The supportive environment created by the workshop was instrumental in helping members get a feel for the interview questions they might encounter in their future. It allowed them to practice and refine their communication skills, which are essential in any field, especially in the competitive field of medicine.
We're proud of our members for their active participation in the workshop and their dedication to honing their skills. We're confident that the skills learned during the workshop will help our members stand out during future interviews.
